Apostille certification for citizens of Mexico

Where do I get a birth certificate?

You can request a copy of your birth certificate online, from a branch of the Mexican “registro civil” (all the locations here) or using one of the Kioscos de la Tesorería (all the locations here). For more information, including the different options to apply for your birth certificate, read ¿Cómo obtener mi acta de nacimiento?

How do I get an apostille for my birth certificate?

The document must be apostilled in Mexico as neither the Embassy of Mexico in Paris nor the consulates issue apostilles. A certain number of branches of the federal government in Mexico issue apostilles. You’ll find all the addresses here (PDF document). A fee of 733 pesos per document is charged.
