Apply for another IEC Working Holiday permit<\/h2>\n<p>Canada has signed IEC agreements with more than 30 countries. Each agreement is negotiated separately and thus comes with its own set of conditions. <\/p>\n<p>Citizens of most countries can only obtain the IEC Working Holiday permit once, but there are some notable exceptions. <\/p>\n<p>If you are a citizen of: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chile<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice, under any category.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Croatia<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice, under any category. There must be a three-month break between the expiry date of your first Canadian work permit under IEC and the submission date of your second IEC work permit application.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Iceland<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Italy<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice under any category.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Japan<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>San Marino<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>South Korea<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice. You can choose the Working Holiday or Young Professionals category twice. However, you may only participate in the International Co-op category once.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>United Kingdom<\/strong>, you may participate in IEC twice: a first participation of 24 months under any category, a second participation of 12 months under any category. Conditional second Working Holiday permit<\/h2>\n<p>Certain IEC agreements have been updated since their initial implementation to allow individuals who participated in IEC before a certain date to apply again in any IEC category of their choice. <\/p>\n<p>Namely, if you are a citizen of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Australia<\/strong> and participated in IEC one or more times before 2015, you might be eligible (if you are still under the age limit) for a final participation of up to 24 months in the category of your choice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>France<\/strong> and participated in IEC only once before 2015, you are eligible (if you are still under the age limit) for a second participation of up to 24 months in the category of your choice. Those who have already participated in IEC more than once before 2015 are not eligible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ireland<\/strong> and participated in IEC before 2013 for a period of up to 12 months, you are eligible (if you are still under the age limit) for a second participation of up to 24 months in the category of your choice. Those who participated in IEC more than once before 2013 are no longer eligible to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This list may grow over time as more agreements see updates, so check the latest information for your nationality on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/work-canada\/iec.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official website<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>If you are eligible for another IEC Working Holiday permit and want to apply, you\u2019ll need to go through the same steps as in your first application, including entering the IEC pool. Recognized Organizations<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/work-canada\/iec\/recognized-organizations.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Recognized Organizations<\/a> (ROs) are specific organizations approved by the Government of Canada. Via a RO, you may be able to obtain another IEC permit, even if you already had one in the past and have reached the standard allowance for your citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>ROs can help you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>find a job<\/li>\n<li>set up Canadian banking<\/li>\n<li>plan your travel or accommodations<\/li>\n<li>secure international health insurance and vaccinations<\/li>\n<li>find language and intercultural training or experiences<\/li>\n<li>get help with work and travel problems<\/li>\n<li>get help in an emergency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you might assume by looking at the types of services offered, ROs are <strong>mainly intended for first-time IEC participants<\/strong> who need specific services for their move to Canada. <\/p>\n<p>While there are no official rules against using a RO to try to obtain a second IEC permit, you may be spending money on services that you don\u2019t actually need. <\/p>\n<p>There are some important things to be aware of for ROs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RO participation involves significant fees (ranging from $1,000 to $6,000).<\/li>\n<li>Spaces are limited and highly competitive.
