How to secure a room on Tendoors
Step 1: Check out the offerings on their website
Start by choosing your city on tendoors.fr. They operate in Paris, Lille, and Bordeaux. You can then browse all the rooms available, along with their detailed info.
If you want, you can also request a phone call with a Tendoors adviser who can answer your questions and help you find a room that meets your needs.
Step 2: Visit the home
You can visit the home virtually or in person:
- Virtual 3D visit: a practical option if you aren’t in France yet.
- In-person visit: you can see your future home but also meet the flatmates.
Step 3: Submit your application online
Once you’ve made your choice, click “Réserver” on the listing. Then simply follow the instructions from there.
The documents required include:
- Photo ID
- Work contract or proof of university enrollment*
- Last 3 pay stubs*
- Last tax return in France*
- Proof of current address in France*
The same documents are required of your guarantor**.

Step 4: Sign the lease and move in
Once your application is approved, you will receive an individual lease that can be signed online.
