The various Interrail passes and their conditions

1. Flexi Pass

You get unlimited use of the pass for a limited time period.

  • 4 days in 1 month: €212 (12-27 years old) or €283 (28-59 years old)
  • 5 days in 1 month: €239 (12-27 years old) or €318 (28-59 years old)
  • 7 days in 1 month: €286 (12-27 years old) or €381 (28-59 years old)
  • 10 days in 2 months: €335 (12-27 years old) or €447 (28-59 years old)
  • 15 days in 2 months: €415 (12-27 years old) or €553 (28-59 years old)

How does it work?

Let’s take the first option as an example, 4 days in 1 month. You can have 4 days of train travel within a one month period, and each travel day affords unlimited travel. The 4 days do not need to be consecutive; you could very well spend a few nights in a city before activating your next day of unlimited travel.

2. Continuous Pass

Alternatively, there is the Continuous Pass, which allows for unlimited travel every day within a defined period.

You can choose between 15 days, 22 days, 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months (consecutive). The most popular is the 2 month option (€620 up to 27 years old, €826 up to 59 years old).

With this pass, you could theoretically take a train every single day for 2 months.

What is included in the pass?

  • You can take most trains in 33 countries, just by showing your pass
  • You can download the free app called Rail Planner to plan your trips and store your tickets
  • You will get access to extra benefits and discounts during your travel
  • You can reserve with peace of mind knowing that Interrail has a flexible refunds and exchanges policy.

What is not included?

  • Seat reservation is not included. But non high speed national and regional trains do not require seat reservation.
  • Local public transport within cities are not included. However, in certain cities, the pass will give you access to discounted fares.

What is the new Pass Rail in France?

You may have heard about the French government’s promise to make travel more accessible for young people. The Pass Rail will finally become available in summer 2024! This may be the right pass for you if you are specifically interested in domestic travel within France.

The Pass Rail allows young people up to 27 years old to make unlimited use of TER trains for just €49. TGVs trains are excluded from this pass. All regions in France except Île-de-France (the Paris region) are covered. The pass lasts 2 months, from the beginning of July to the end of August. There is no need to provide a proof of address, so all youth under 27 years of age are eligible.

How do I get the Pass Rail?

The Pass Rail will become available for sale around 15 June 2024. SNCF is the sole authorized vendor of this pass, so avoid resellers and scammers.
