EnglishAir Transat and pvtistes.net has teamed up for a special offer applicable on flights to and from Canada—an extra 23 kg luggage allowance at no charge.
In other words, Air Transat will carry a piece of checked luggage at no cost. Note that you won’t get a refund on any luggage fees charged, this offer only gives eligible passengers the opportunity to travel with an extra piece of luggage at no additional cost.
Who can benefit from this special offer on Air Transat flights?
To be eligible, passengers must hold one of the following:
- An International Experience Canada (IEC) permit (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op permit); or
- A study permit.
- A valid employer-specific work permit.
- A valid spousal work permit.
The immediate relatives of qualifying visa holders (father, mother, siblings) are also eligible for the offer, if they travel together on the same booking.
If you are travelling with your child, you can reserve his or her ticket at the same time as yours. However, he or she would not be eligible for the special offer by Air Transat and pvtistes.net.
This special offer applies to flights from Europe to Canada and flights from Canada to Europe.
It can be used as many times as you wish during the validity of your IEC or study permit.
Choose between two fare options
If you buy an ECO BUDGET ticket (no checked luggage included), this special offer will allow you to add ONE PIECE OF CHECKED LUGGAGE at no extra charge.
Travelling with two pieces of luggage? No worries, you can add a second piece of checked luggage at a later date for a fee and fly with up to two pieces of checked luggage in total (23 kg max each).
If you buy an ECO STANDARD ticket, a piece of checked luggage is already included in the price. This special offer will allow you to add another piece of checked luggage at no extra charge, so you’ll be able to travel with TWO PIECES OF CHECKED LUGGAGE in total (23 kg max each).

The (not so) fine print for the Air Transat offer
- Maximum allowance per passenger is two pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg each. Adding a third piece of luggage is not possible with these fares.
- Maximum weight for each piece of checked luggage is 23 kg. Height + width + length must not exceed 158 cm (62 in).
- Each passenger is entitled to board with one piece of hand luggage and one personal item which are both subject to size restrictions. Maximum dimensions for your carry-on are 23 × 40 × 51 cm (9 × 16 × 20 in). Read Air Transat’s baggage allowance for more details.
- Special items (e.g. sporting equipment, music instruments) are not included in this special offer.
- The offer can’t be applied to transport of pets in the checked baggage hold. However, you can apply it to a regular piece of checked luggage and pay a separate fee to travel with your pet. For more info, read Pets and assistance dogs.
- Seat selection and gourmet meals are available with this special offer.
- Please note that this offer cannot be applied to codeshare flights (where one of the flight segments is operated by another airline partner), to "connectair by Air Transat" flights or to routes involving a train "Train + Air" segment. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or promo code.

With my spouse we were able to benefit from the additional 17 kg thanks to a person from the pvtiste site who helped us since we had directly bought our tickets on air transat.
Fortunately he was there because we had 100 kilos of luggage. So we had to pay $ 75 extra but it was nothing compared to what we would have paid without these additional 17kilos.
So a big thank you to the pvtiste site for allowing us to travel cheaper. I think it is essential when you go to live 6000 km from home!

There were no worries, everything went perfectly at the airport.
Thank you Pvtistes for this plan! 17 kg is an extra suitcase, and it allowed me to take the extra stuff that helped me settle in comfortably without buying everything …, basically it saves 100 euros.
There is just a little misunderstanding in the process at the time of booking: the Airtransat site does not count it as a promotion, and as it is not marked anywhere in the order of the ticket I was not sure that the advantage have been taken into account.
Otherwise it’s great.

I just received the coupon for the additional 17kg, it is indeed a good plan, thank you!
However, I had taken the + air transat option to have the additional 10kg payable, but I read on my coupon and that of my companion a sentence that makes me understand that I paid two options + therefore € 96 for nothing : “THIS OFFER CANNOT BE COMBINED WITH ANY OTHER OFFER
LUGGAGE OFFERED BY THE AIR TRANSAT AIRLINE COMPANY (OPTION PLUS / CLASS CLUB). ”
Could someone from Air transat or the person in charge of the offer tell me if I have 40 kg + 10 kg options + in checked baggage per person or if I only have 40 kg in checked baggage per nobody and that I am prevented from taking my 10kg that I paid with the option +?
If so, will I want to be reimbursed for this unnecessary option?

Yes super these 17kg more. Especially for the return !! But should you use the same coupons as for the aisle or print another?
