In other words, Air Transat will carry a piece of checked luggage at no cost. Note that you won’t get a refund on any luggage fees charged, this offer only gives eligible passengers the opportunity to travel with an extra piece of luggage at no additional cost.
You can take advantage of this special offer as many times as you wish for the entire duration of your study or work permit.
Who can benefit from this special offer on Air Transat flights?
To be eligible, passengers must hold one of the following:
- An International Experience Canada (IEC) permit (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op permit); or
- A study permit.
- A valid employer-specific work permit.
- A valid spousal work permit.
If you are traveling with your spouse, who does not yet have a work permit, they are also eligible for the offer, provided that they are traveling on the same dates as you and that the tickets are purchased in the same booking. On the day of your trip, make sure to have proof of your relationship.
The immediate relatives of qualifying visa holders (father, mother, siblings) are also eligible for the offer, if they travel together on the same booking.
If you are travelling with your child, you can reserve his or her ticket at the same time as yours. However, he or she would not be eligible for the special offer by Air Transat and pvtistes.net.
This special offer applies to flights from Europe to Canada and flights from Canada to Europe.
It can be used as many times as you wish during the validity of your IEC or study permit.
Choose between two fare options
If you buy an ECO BUDGET ticket (no checked luggage included), this special offer will allow you to add ONE PIECE OF CHECKED LUGGAGE at no extra charge.
Travelling with two pieces of luggage? No worries, you can add a second piece of checked luggage at a later date for a fee and fly with up to two pieces of checked luggage in total (23 kg max each).
If you buy an ECO STANDARD ticket, a piece of checked luggage is already included in the price. This special offer will allow you to add another piece of checked luggage at no extra charge, so you’ll be able to travel with TWO PIECES OF CHECKED LUGGAGE in total (23 kg max each).

The (not so) fine print for the Air Transat offer
- Maximum allowance per passenger is two pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg each. Adding a third piece of luggage is not possible with these fares.
- Maximum weight for each piece of checked luggage is 23 kg. Height + width + length must not exceed 158 cm (62 in).
- Each passenger is entitled to board with one piece of hand luggage and one personal item which are both subject to size restrictions. Maximum dimensions for your carry-on are 23 × 40 × 51 cm (9 × 16 × 20 in). Read Air Transat’s baggage allowance for more details.
- Special items (e.g. sporting equipment, music instruments) are not included in this special offer.
- The offer can’t be applied to transport of pets in the checked baggage hold. However, you can apply it to a regular piece of checked luggage and pay a separate fee to travel with your pet. For more info, read Pets and assistance dogs.
- Seat selection and gourmet meals are available with this special offer.
- Please note that this offer cannot be applied to codeshare flights (where one of the flight segments is operated by another airline partner), to "connectair by Air Transat" flights or to routes involving a train "Train + Air" segment. I have not yet had the honor of benefiting from the offer (let’s say that when I left, I did not exceed the regulatory 23 kg, but I had the possibility of exceeding them if necessary). but for my return, this offer will be of enormous help and I thank you very much in advance. Because casually, even if you buy not much, you get a few pounds on the road for a year.

Very good plan, especially when you go to 2 (34kg more !!). In addition Air Transat is great, they are on time and during our last Paris-MTL flight the basis of the programs available on the individual screen was more than sufficient. Thank you pvtistes.net;)

Good plan really useful, because 23kg is really short for two.
A word of advice, you have 10kg of hand luggage too if you have anything other than your computer to take.
For the outward journey, with my boyfriend we had not read the offer, on the other hand when we returned (in April) we could take advantage of it and so much the better! We left with 50 kg of luggage each, distributed in all in 6 bags (2 in the hold + 1 in hand luggage each!)
Loaded like mules it’s clear but at least we brought everything we wanted !!
To benefit from the offer it was quite simple, you just need to not buy your tickets BEFORE making the request via PVTistes.net .. if I remember correctly … in any case we received confirmation that was entitled to the extra 50kg just a few days later.

For our part, we made Quebec Paris with air transat. On a trip like this we did not have an individual TV (night flight of less than 6:30 am), but frankly it did not pose bp! And given the price difference with Air Canada, there’s really no picture! In addition, airtransat is the only company to offer a direct flight from Paris to Quebec. As for the coupon: super useful and very easy. We just had to show it at check-in. Well we still paid extra baggage because we had more than 40 kg: What would it have been without the coupon !! It allows you to have 2 bags and that alone is worth it! Thank you pvtiste!

I used Air Transat for my return to France with the pvtistes.net offer. I recommend this company, the staff was very attentive, personal screen to watch movies with new things, coffee, tea … Impeccable flight. Price more than interesting in addition.
