EnglishAir Transat and pvtistes.net has teamed up for a special offer applicable on flights to and from Canada—an extra 23 kg luggage allowance at no charge.
In other words, Air Transat will carry a piece of checked luggage at no cost. Note that you won’t get a refund on any luggage fees charged, this offer only gives eligible passengers the opportunity to travel with an extra piece of luggage at no additional cost.
Who can benefit from this special offer on Air Transat flights?
To be eligible, passengers must hold one of the following:
- An International Experience Canada (IEC) permit (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op permit); or
- A study permit.
- A valid employer-specific work permit.
- A valid spousal work permit.
The immediate relatives of qualifying visa holders (father, mother, siblings) are also eligible for the offer, if they travel together on the same booking.
If you are travelling with your child, you can reserve his or her ticket at the same time as yours. However, he or she would not be eligible for the special offer by Air Transat and pvtistes.net.
This special offer applies to flights from Europe to Canada and flights from Canada to Europe.
It can be used as many times as you wish during the validity of your IEC or study permit.
Choose between two fare options
If you buy an ECO BUDGET ticket (no checked luggage included), this special offer will allow you to add ONE PIECE OF CHECKED LUGGAGE at no extra charge.
Travelling with two pieces of luggage? No worries, you can add a second piece of checked luggage at a later date for a fee and fly with up to two pieces of checked luggage in total (23 kg max each).
If you buy an ECO STANDARD ticket, a piece of checked luggage is already included in the price. This special offer will allow you to add another piece of checked luggage at no extra charge, so you’ll be able to travel with TWO PIECES OF CHECKED LUGGAGE in total (23 kg max each).

The (not so) fine print for the Air Transat offer
- Maximum allowance per passenger is two pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg each. Adding a third piece of luggage is not possible with these fares.
- Maximum weight for each piece of checked luggage is 23 kg. Height + width + length must not exceed 158 cm (62 in).
- Each passenger is entitled to board with one piece of hand luggage and one personal item which are both subject to size restrictions. Maximum dimensions for your carry-on are 23 × 40 × 51 cm (9 × 16 × 20 in). Read Air Transat’s baggage allowance for more details.
- Special items (e.g. sporting equipment, music instruments) are not included in this special offer.
- The offer can’t be applied to transport of pets in the checked baggage hold. However, you can apply it to a regular piece of checked luggage and pay a separate fee to travel with your pet. For more info, read Pets and assistance dogs.

I arrived in Canada a few months ago and I could take advantage of the additional 17K offered by Air Transat.
My WHV not happening as I wanted I plan to return soon.
If I understood correctly I can benefit from 17k for my return (is that right?) But when I go to the air transat site for my reservation (having gone through the site of course) I am send to the air site transat canada therefore .CA. My problem is when I want to pay if I put the references of my Mastercard you must complete the address of the holder or it is linked to my French account and I can only write a Canadian or American address … How do I do it?

I would like to have some help with the following request.
I called AirTransat twice to ask if the 17Kg offer could be combined with the Option Plus which gives us an additional 10Kg.
The two people on the phone certified me that it was cumulative.
In “Frequently Asked Questions” you say;
– Can the offer be combined with other Air Transat promotions?
No.
Which person should I trust?

It is not cumulative, I just had a clear answer from the parent company of Air Transat in Montreal.
They ask me where did you get this information so that they warn their employees. Can you give me the number you called please and the names of the people?

Hello everybody,
I have just arrived in Toronto and I was able to benefit from the additional 17kgs of Air Transat by following the instructions indicated on the pvtistes site. It is very easy and convenient. I filled in the information for my outward flight only after the purchase and I received the voucher 24 hours after because I was taking off 6 days later. I was able to combine this offer with the Plus option which allows you to have 10kgs more.
