In other words, Air Transat will carry a piece of checked luggage at no cost. Note that you won’t get a refund on any luggage fees charged, this offer only gives eligible passengers the opportunity to travel with an extra piece of luggage at no additional cost.
You can take advantage of this special offer as many times as you wish for the entire duration of your study or work permit.
Who can benefit from this special offer on Air Transat flights?
To be eligible, passengers must hold one of the following:
- An International Experience Canada (IEC) permit (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op permit); or
- A study permit.
- A valid employer-specific work permit.
- A valid spousal work permit.
If you are traveling with your spouse, who does not yet have a work permit, they are also eligible for the offer, provided that they are traveling on the same dates as you and that the tickets are purchased in the same booking. On the day of your trip, make sure to have proof of your relationship.
The immediate relatives of qualifying visa holders (father, mother, siblings) are also eligible for the offer, if they travel together on the same booking.
If you are travelling with your child, you can reserve his or her ticket at the same time as yours. However, he or she would not be eligible for the special offer by Air Transat and pvtistes.net.
This special offer applies to flights from Europe to Canada and flights from Canada to Europe.
It can be used as many times as you wish during the validity of your IEC or study permit.
Choose between two fare options
If you buy an ECO BUDGET ticket (no checked luggage included), this special offer will allow you to add ONE PIECE OF CHECKED LUGGAGE at no extra charge.
Travelling with two pieces of luggage? No worries, you can add a second piece of checked luggage at a later date for a fee and fly with up to two pieces of checked luggage in total (23 kg max each).
If you buy an ECO STANDARD ticket, a piece of checked luggage is already included in the price. This special offer will allow you to add another piece of checked luggage at no extra charge, so you’ll be able to travel with TWO PIECES OF CHECKED LUGGAGE in total (23 kg max each).

The (not so) fine print for the Air Transat offer
- Maximum allowance per passenger is two pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg each. Adding a third piece of luggage is not possible with these fares.
- Maximum weight for each piece of checked luggage is 23 kg. Height + width + length must not exceed 158 cm (62 in).
- Each passenger is entitled to board with one piece of hand luggage and one personal item which are both subject to size restrictions. Maximum dimensions for your carry-on are 23 × 40 × 51 cm (9 × 16 × 20 in). Read Air Transat’s baggage allowance for more details.
- Special items (e.g. sporting equipment, music instruments) are not included in this special offer.
- The offer can’t be applied to transport of pets in the checked baggage hold. However, you can apply it to a regular piece of checked luggage and pay a separate fee to travel with your pet. For more info, read Pets and assistance dogs.
- Seat selection and gourmet meals are available with this special offer.
- Please note that this offer cannot be applied to codeshare flights (where one of the flight segments is operated by another airline partner), to "connectair by Air Transat" flights or to routes involving a train "Train + Air" segment. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or promo code.

we have well received the offer of the additional 17 kilos, but I have a little problem according to the papers which I received and if I understood correctly I also profit from the offer. there is a voucher for my companion (pvt) and a in my name (no pvt), is that normal? or did I not understand?

First of all, I would like to thank you and your entire team for what you do for us, it’s great!
So here I received my letter of introduction today to go to Toronto as part of a 4 month international cooperation internship! So I saw the supply of deckchair air, but I admit I did not understand everything.
I filled in the form with my name and my letter of introduction, but my status is still pending. I then book my ticket via the red button on the page, and until the purchase of my ticket, I did not see the offer appear anywhere.
So I wanted to know: Did I do it right? What additional information must be provided to benefit from the offer?

Hello everyone, here I am in Canada and this via air transat !! So unfortunately I had not been able to take advantage of the 17kg promotion but I arrived at the airport with my 32kg bag and I only paid 49 euros extra which I find reasonable !! I didn’t have to wait hours to pay the supplement in 15 minutes everything was sorted out and the staff at Paris airport were very friendly! On board the staff were also very pleasant, the meals adequate, and I arrived at the airport on time !! the plane is not exceptional, it is not long-haul flights of British Airways or jet Airways or you have your personalized screen but the prices are not comparable either !!! I actually paid 480 euro round trip to multiple destination which would have cost me 900 with jetairways !!
In short, to be recommended unless you are a very demanding customer !! 😉

By cons for the return in a year, I think I have much more use! I hope that you will manage to create a new partnership with them!

small question the 17kg of free luggage is only on air transat, suddenly leaving us from montpellier passing by paris to go to montrèal how do we do? Luggage is only free for paris montreal is that it? and montpellier paris we pay?

We made the reservation by the red button to take our tickets on AirTransat after registering on your site (the introduction downloaded).
However, this morning I wanted to enter our file numbers and our departure date in your table but I no longer have the edit fields for these elements.
Is this normal? How can you send us our coupons if you don’t have this information there?
