EnglishAir Transat and pvtistes.net has teamed up for a special offer applicable on flights to and from Canada—an extra 23 kg luggage allowance at no charge.
In other words, Air Transat will carry a piece of checked luggage at no cost. Note that you won’t get a refund on any luggage fees charged, this offer only gives eligible passengers the opportunity to travel with an extra piece of luggage at no additional cost.
Who can benefit from this special offer on Air Transat flights?
To be eligible, passengers must hold one of the following:
- An International Experience Canada (IEC) permit (Working Holiday, Young Professionals or International Co-op permit); or
- A study permit.
- A valid employer-specific work permit.
- A valid spousal work permit.
The immediate relatives of qualifying visa holders (father, mother, siblings) are also eligible for the offer, if they travel together on the same booking.
If you are travelling with your child, you can reserve his or her ticket at the same time as yours. However, he or she would not be eligible for the special offer by Air Transat and pvtistes.net.
This special offer applies to flights from Europe to Canada and flights from Canada to Europe.
It can be used as many times as you wish during the validity of your IEC or study permit.
Choose between two fare options
If you buy an ECO BUDGET ticket (no checked luggage included), this special offer will allow you to add ONE PIECE OF CHECKED LUGGAGE at no extra charge.
Travelling with two pieces of luggage? No worries, you can add a second piece of checked luggage at a later date for a fee and fly with up to two pieces of checked luggage in total (23 kg max each).
If you buy an ECO STANDARD ticket, a piece of checked luggage is already included in the price. This special offer will allow you to add another piece of checked luggage at no extra charge, so you’ll be able to travel with TWO PIECES OF CHECKED LUGGAGE in total (23 kg max each).

The (not so) fine print for the Air Transat offer
- Maximum allowance per passenger is two pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg each. Adding a third piece of luggage is not possible with these fares.
- Maximum weight for each piece of checked luggage is 23 kg. Height + width + length must not exceed 158 cm (62 in).
- Each passenger is entitled to board with one piece of hand luggage and one personal item which are both subject to size restrictions. Maximum dimensions for your carry-on are 23 × 40 × 51 cm (9 × 16 × 20 in). Read Air Transat’s baggage allowance for more details.
- Special items (e.g. sporting equipment, music instruments) are not included in this special offer.
- The offer can’t be applied to transport of pets in the checked baggage hold. However, you can apply it to a regular piece of checked luggage and pay a separate fee to travel with your pet. For more info, read Pets and assistance dogs.
- Seat selection and gourmet meals are available with this special offer.

Today I am trying to book my plane ticket to Montreal via the link provided to us on the PVTistes.net site in order to benefit from the additional 17kilos with AirTransat.
However, once on the site, impossible to click on the link “book this flight” and go further.
We tried on different computers, same observation.
HELP!
Yes, many of us have the same problem … this is a site bug! I sent an email to customer service hope this is resolved quickly!

I had this bug and I found the solution, in fact it is enough to use internet explorer and when you will be on the site you will see at the top of the browser next to the url of the site a small button which looks like a torn file, you must click on it to activate the compatibility display
The link works again, all to your keyboards!

Is it possible to book the ticket plus the 17 kg free with the Belgian version of the air transat site, because I do not have a visa card and on the Belgian version of the site, you can pay via “Bancontact” (system debit card payment)?
Or when I click on the button “Book and take advantage of 17 additional kilos offered” and it sends me to the French site of air transat, I can change the version of the site, but will they always keep track of fact that I am entitled to a coupon for the 17 kg?

Unfortunately to have the offer you have to use the link to which we refer otherwise you will not have the additional 17 kilos free. Can’t you ask a friend or your parents to use their visa card and will you reimburse them? It’s a really interesting economy;)

I have been trying to book my ticket for several hours but it hangs at the same stage, I choose the day and when I click on the button “book this flight” nothing happens. I tried several times, on several browsers (chrome, firefox, IExplorer), I restarted my pc, empty the history and cookies, but still nothing …

Try to deactivate your antivirus or anti ad perhaps? it works well, i just tested 🙂
It still does not work ! Even my girlfriend with her mac (and by deactivating everything) does not succeed, the Belgian site does not have the same bug, on the other hand the French version blocks each time in the same place, what do I do?
And there would be no way that I reserve with the Belgian site of air transat and then communicate the file number and the day of the flight to the team of air transat (France) which manages this offer?

Once the verification has been carried out, click on the “Reservation” button. This is a tracked link that lets Air Transat know that you have just come from PVTistes.net in order to send you the coupon for the additional 17 kilos.

Yes I went through the verification. The thing is that my departure is scheduled for March 3 which is less than 21 days now. Will I still be able to benefit from the coupon?

It’s just that we have just implemented a new procedure, it takes a little time for us to communicate the information to Air Transat but they are very responsive so it should be fine.

I would like to book a ticket from Montreal – Paris via the pvtistes.net site to benefit from the additional 17 kg. But the problem I have is that it’s departures from France. So can I take an AR from Paris and only take the return to Montreal to return to Paris?

When I received my acceptance letter (in January), I went through pvtistes.net to benefit from the additional 17kg but I was directly redirected to the Air Transat website to make my reservation without being told request to fill out any form or send a copy of my letter.
Today, I see that it is the case but my flight is already booked …
I am only leaving in September 2014 so I have not yet received anything as a coupon or other but I wonder if I could benefit from this advantage or not …?

Hello, I went through your site to take the ticket at air transat, but I could not benefit from the additional 17 kg, the delay may be for something (ticket bought on 01/21 for a departure on the 28 / 01) So I had to pay the 60 euros. question, can I get a refund? and if not since I took my return ticket at the same time, will the 17kg be able to apply to it?
