Hello, I sent an email to [email protected] 10 days ago and I did not receive a response. I also tried the chat on this page but had no news via email. I just had a few questions before my departure (which is in a week) regarding the pre-opening of a Desjardins account. Could someone from Desjardins please contact me? Thank you in advance and good day 🙂
Very well, the opening is done quickly and the various advisers are always quick to help you when you have a doubt or a question about a procedure.
So far I’m very happy with it (account opening + fast receipt of debit and credit cards).
I received an email from Desjardins mentioning certain modifications to be made before my opening, such as the address. Only I don’t know how to access my account to finalize my request to open an account……
I would like to know how do you connect to desjardins knowing that I only have a confirmation code?????
I opened my account at Desjardins, to transfer my funds before my arrival, but impossible to make the transfer of funds, because they require an international transfer, while I was gradually transferring to my cousin’s account who is in Montreal, to save for my stay. My cousin tried to make the transfer to my Desjardins account impossible. It’s really stressful, because I’m traveling on August 15 in 1 and a few weeks, knowing we have to show the account statement at the airport.
My cousin moved to go to the agency, he called customer service. Still nothing is settled. How do I transfer my funds? It stresses me out too much. I need a solution please.
Thanks in advance
Hello Kadiatou, to transfer your money, I recommend that you look at Wise, which offers readers of pvtistes.net a first transfer free of charge, so when you arrive in Canada, the money will be in your account directly: https ://pvtistes.net/bonsplans/wise/ 🙂
Thank you for your answer and your availability. But the problem is that my money is already in Canada on my cousin’s account. He was the one who wanted to transfer my funds back to my Desjardins account. So is there a solution so that he can make the transfer to me?
Congratulations on your project in Canada and thank you for your comment!

I strongly advise against this bank, I have not even been with them for a week and I have called customer service at least 10 times for problems, I went to the branch twice, the day I had my apartment I had to make an interrac transfer to be able to have the keys, surprise Desjardins had blocked my account.. only repeated problems, blocking of cards, account, interrac profile, I’m already fed up.. I still want to note the kindness and availability of the advisers but plan to close as soon as possible… time-consuming
Hello Amine, I contacted Hanane from Desjardins, who wishes to answer you this, in the absence of Rémy who usually responds to comments:
Hello Amine, Thank you for trusting Desjardins! We are sorry for the experience you had. Could you please write to me at this address: [email protected] so that I can help you sort everything out. A beautiful day to you! – Hanane
I saw that it was possible to pre-open your account remotely and transfer money to it. Is it then possible to make a transfer from my Desjardins account to another Desjardins account from France before my departure without having actually opened my account?
First of all, thank you for your interest in Desjardins and congratulations on your project in Canada.
You can pre-open your account at http://www.desjardins.com/open account, then you will receive your Desjardins RIB by email, then you can make your 1st international transfer, then you can finalize your account in Canada, then you can make payments or transfers to a Desjardins account in Canada.
Before finalizing the account in Canada, we recommend that you make an international transfer directly from your French account to the Canadian account of your interlocutor.
If you have other Canadian banking questions, we invite you to contact our team dedicated to newcomers and non-residents directly: [email protected] +1-514-875-4266, option 1
