$334.92 savings over 3 years:

  • Year 1: No flat monthly fee (save $15.95/month for 12 months)
  • Year 2: A flat monthly fee of $7.98 instead of $15.95 (save $7.97/month for 12 months)
  • Year 3: A flat monthly fee of $11.96 instead of $15.95 (save $3.99/month for 12 months)

The monthly fee of $15.95 for your banking package will be charged as of the fourth year. To be eligible for this savings, you must maintain the account and package for at least 36 months. You will no longer qualify for the discount if you don’t keep these products.

If you don’t meet the conditions of the offer, your savings will be lower. If you don’t make your first cheque order, your savings will be lower.

Furthermore, if during any given month, you maintain your account and package but you don’t maintain one of the other products and services or if you don’t carry out the required transactions (for example if you make one bill payment instead of two), the Bank will charge you the service fee for the month. Hello,
My partner and I are planning to arrive in Canada in 10 days and we are interested in the BNC offer. However, we would like to know the conditions for transferring money from a French bank account to a BNC account.
Does the BNC take any fees during these transfers?
thank you in advance for your help

Hello Amandine,

You will be able to pre-open your online bank account from the link on this page in order to benefit from the 50 CAD bonus on your bank account.

The cost of a fund transfer is 15 CAD (so with the bonus it’s like we are offering you 3 transfers).

Please note that your bank in France will charge you fees, so I invite you to contact them directly.

If you need more information, I am available by private message.

Vanessa

Hello,
I am going on a WHV to Canada in January and I want to open an account at the BNC. I would like to pre-request online and finalize once I’m there in Montreal.
I have a question for the online application: if I understood correctly, given that I do not yet have a NAS number (being still in France), I must only check the box “I am a resident of ‘a fiscal jurisdiction other than Canada and the United States for tax purposes “and enter my French fiscal registration number (NIF)?
And once the meeting is there in Canada for the finalization of my account, I will be asked for the SIN.
Thanks a lot for your help !

Hello everyone.

I opened my account at the BNC directly online, via the link offered by pvtistes.
An advisor came back to me quite quickly, and offered me an appointment to explain to me the operation of accounts, of the various bank cards in Canada … Etc. We also installed the application on the phone together. So far everything is perfect.

Except that when I left, I told her about the good Pvtistes plan with the $ 50 offered on the account when it was opened (I meet all the conditions), but she did not seem to be at the current supply …

So I would like to know what the procedure is in this case, in order to be able to take advantage of the right plan?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I will be arriving in Canada at the end of February on a working holiday visa. So I plan to open an account once there.
I hesitate between BNC and Desjardins banks, since your offers for “newcomers” are quite similar.
Since I also plan to buy a vehicle when I arrive, I think it is this criterion in particular that could work in favor of one of them:
Do you offer auto insurance please?
Will my years of driving FR be recognized and therefore taken into account in the calcusl?
Thanking you in advance for your return.
Yours,
TO.

Hello,
I would like to have a feedback on your experience, if you don’t mind?
I myself am looking for a bank account and I wanted to know if the BNC recognized our years of experience in FR? And what was your final choice?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely Sarah

Hello,
I share my bad experience with the BNC, because yes there is.
First, I had pre-opened my account via the pvtiste offer, and I never received confirmation of an appointment on site. I had to fight all day to get one.
Then, once there, nobody was aware of this good plan, result it’s been 3 weeks and I’m still waiting for the 50 dollars, and nobody can confirm to me if I would have them one day or not.
It’s not over, by wanting to transfer my money from France to my Canadian account, the funds systematically return to my French account. I had to go to a branch, rent a car (because I do not live in town), which generated a certain number of costs for me to be told that “oops your Canadian account is frozen, we forgot to unlock it “, ok ….
And there I just received my credit card (after 3 weeks!), And could not activate it because it was not registered in my account at the time of the order (unbelievable but true), so I am still in fighting with the BNC to fix the problems. And I am still without a Canadian phone because no credit card, no plan, so hello outside the plan.

Looking back, I regret a little that I chose this bank, because I only have problems.

Hello guys,
Need your testimony for those who have pre-opened an account at the BNC before arriving, I opened a new account 13 days ago – New arrivals, I had the confirmation email with the indication that in the next 3 days I will receive an email with the confirmation of account opening and all the instructions .. but I have absolutely not received it, is it normal that the delays are longer? Did you also take a long time to receive this email?
Thank you for your help? ☺

Hello,
The exact same thing happens to me.
Account opened on November 2 with this famous email and since nothing. No emails, no contact or even return emails from people I was advised during a video with the BNC to sell me their services ….

Hello, why did he ask us for the TIN? Did I communicate the one from France? For what purposes has this number been useful to you?

Hello ,
I am about to open an online account with the “newcomer” offer However I have a small question about opening online;

> I already have a residence address in Canada for my arrival (August 30), do I have to enter this or my current address in France? This will not have an impact on whether or not to benefit from the “newcomer” formula?

In advance, thank you for your answer

Hello,

I am a French student who will be starting his full time masters in September. Your offer is of particular interest to me and so I naturally started to fill out the form for newcomers.

However, I have two questions:

I am asked for a SIN except that I do not have one, do I have to enter my French social security number?

I am also asked for a TIN, but I do not have one because I have never worked, declared taxes and I am attached to my parents’ tax household. What should I do ? Put my father’s NIF?

Regards,

Thomas eyraud
