When you first get to France, you likely won’t know very many people. That is why it can be helpful to create a LinkedIn if you don’t already have one. Make sure your personal information is accurate, such as your location, so that recruiters can find your profile. Identify and follow companies that interest you and see if you have any common connections with current employees. Don’t be shy to reach out and build connections, or activate notifications for relevant job titles. By doing this, you can gradually learn more about the French market of your desired field.
Job fairs
There are job fairs organized throughout France. These events allow you to meet recruiters and other employees in various fields, and learn about openings. You can find them on Google by searching “job fair + city”. We list a few below.

Le Salon Jeunes d’Avenir (Youth of the future)

Les Forums Initialis Paris emploi
This event is geared toward individuals looking for work in the commercial sector. Events are held in February, April, June and September. Check their website for the official calendar.
Word of mouth
Word of mouth is a good way of learning about opportunities around you. For example, when doing apartment visits or attending meetups, you can guide the conversation naturally to mention that you are looking for work. You never know who you might be talking to and who can help you out.
