- The official CareersNZ website: an excellent information site on the sectors recruiting in New Zealand and how to get a job.
- Work and Income: a wealth of information on employment and advice on finding a job
- Job vacancy and recruitment websites: a comprehensive list of job sites (although some are no longer operational).
- Insider by Seek: a site from Seek.co.nz entirely dedicated to job hunting, with lots of advice on how to get the job you want and understand how the world of work works in New Zealand.
General job search websites
- Trade Me: the number 1 site for classified ads in New Zealand (including jobs).
- Seek: excellent job search site, with help on CVs and cover letters.
- MyJobSpace: good job search site
- Work and Income Job bank: the job search database on the government’s Work and Income website
- Backpackerboard: this site is aimed at young people on a WHV, and also includes quite a few job offers. They also provide a list of recruitment agencies on this page.
- Sidekicker et AirTasker can also help you find short assignments (sometimes just a few hours).
Universities also offer advice on job search on their website:
