Starting your application

If you’re ready to start your application then you’re in the right place. In this chapter, we will walk through how to start the online application form.

• 1. Go to the France-Visas visa wizard.
• 2. Fill in your information.
• 3. Click SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATION.
• 4. Create an account if you don’t already have one.

Complete the rest of your application on France-Visas. While filling in the sections of the form, keep in mind that:

• You cannot use special characters such as é á ñ í ø ü.
• In the “Your identity” section, it will ask you for your National identity number. If you don’t have one or aren’t sure, leave it blank.
• In the “Your job” section, your employment status will not have an impact on your application. Answer truthfully.
• In the “Details of your stay” section, you will provide your planned arrival date in France. You are not obligated to fly to France on this exact date, but you should set a realistic date that also matches the coverage period of your private medical insurance.
• In the “Host person or organization” section, you will provide the address of your initial housing, such as a hostel or a hotel. You are not obligated to stay here if your living arrangements change later on.
