1Introduction

The Young Professionals visa to France is available to citizens of Canada, Argentina, New Zealand, and several other nationalities (see full list). This guide is tailored to Canadian applicants, for whom it is categorized as the 3A Visa. Non-Canadian readers may find many similarities with their own processes, but should keep in mind that there may be differences for their nationality.

After completing a working holiday, there are several ways of staying longer in France. The easiest is probably to apply for a Young Professionals visa (aka the 3A visa). As this visa type is not well known, relatively few Canadians apply for it every year. There are 14,000 spots shared between young adults from Canada and France in this bilateral agreement.

This visa is intended to simplify approval of work authorization for foreign young professionals who have obtained a job offer in France.
