Interviews with Working Holiday Makers

Since 2005, pvtistes.net has been dedicated to sharing the various experiences lived during a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) through stories and interviews. With this project, we wanted to give a central place to the voices of working holiday participants, showing that there are as many different WHVs as there are working holiday makers.
To do this, we conducted interviews over several months with about thirty of them, who agreed to share their life journeys, their doubts, their regrets, their discoveries, their moments of happiness, and many anecdotes – in short, everything that makes up a WHV!
We were truly moved by everyone who agreed to take part in this project, and we hope you will be as well!

This document was very inspiring! My boyfriend and I want to register for the PVT Canada for 2020 and reading all these feedbacks allowed me to plan ahead and be patient while waiting for it to be my turn.

This book helped me allay some fears and learn more about certain countries. However, I think it might be interesting to include working holidaymakers leaving with smaller initial budgets.

We agree with you! We interviewed the people who responded to the call for witnesses, but we didn’t have a lot of diversity on that side 🙂 Some still left with the recommended or mandatory minimum. 🙂

It gives a simple and realistic view of moving to and living in Canada, from different perspectives. It’s a very good document. Thank you.

I’m starting my working holiday visa in Canada next year, and the various testimonials have reassured me about the budget, especially if I want to travel first before working, hehehehe. So, I’m really looking forward to my own experience.
In any case, a big thank you to you and to the people who shared their various experiences and advice with us.

This allows for feedback from different people, and therefore allows us to plan a little further or dream of new destinations.

It’s nice to have feedback from other Mexican working holidaymakers because we feel a bit alone doing this working holiday after having done the Australian and New Zealand working holidays which are very popular! And then it gives us ideas for the future… 🙂
