1. Can you please introduce yourself?
Hi, my name is Manon. I’m 31 years old. I worked for 10 years in the restaurant industry, 5 in France and 5 in Montréal. After the pandemic, I had time to reflect on what I wanted next. I decided to go back to school for a degree in communications. I would describe myself as a bubbly positive person who likes challenges. I watch a lot of films and series, and my favourite shows are Pékin Express and l’Amour est dans le pré.

5. What is your best memory from your working holiday?
My best memory is Christmastime. Due to either work or expensive plane tickets, my friends and I weren’t able to return home for the holidays, so we celebrated together. In doing so, we built our own little family far from home.

6. What advice would you give to prospective working holiday makers?
It might be scary to leave behind everything you know, but do it anyway, because it will be the most wonderful experience of your life.

8. How about a memorable anecdote from your working holiday?
No anecdotes, but one final piece of advice is to consider bringing mosquito repellent if you spend a weekend away with your buddies! I still have sting marks.
