Buy the right health insurance coverage
After your IEC application is approved, you must purchase private health insurance before flying to Canada. It will be checked when you go through Canadian immigration.
This step is crucial because if you don’t get the right insurance, your permit could be cut short or you could even be denied entry into Canada.
At this point, you might be wondering:
- Which health insurance meets IEC requirements?
- Do I qualify for Canadian provincial health insurance?
- How long should the coverage be?
We explain everything in detail in IEC Working Holiday Permit: the Insurance Requirement Explained.
