You’ve definitely heard of Whistler if you’re into winter sports. This world-famous city is ideally located meters from amazing slopes.
Why Whistler?
- Whistler is a tourist town with plenty of seasonal jobs in the service industry and more. Being multilingual can be an asset.
- This is the place to be if you love the outdoors and winter sports—mountain biking, hiking, and skiing can be part of your daily schedule.
- Whistler is also a party town with a festive vibe, especially in winter when resorts are packed with tourists from all over the world. On the other hand, expect a high turnover at work and a very different atmosphere once the high season is over.
Just keep in mind that…
- It’s a world-famous ski resort, so life is expensive, especially housing.
- There isn’t much to do except what everybody is here for—working and enjoying what the mountains have to offer.
- Sports activities are king but you won’t have much else to do other than what is offered to tourists.
