WHV Refusal for Canadians?
Hello everyone,
I'm a Canadian citizen located in Canada that just applied for the Working Holiday Visa to France.
I just applied for the French working holiday visa 2 weeks ago and I got a letter of refusal - which I’m extremely confused about. I included a bank statement showing $4,900.00 CAD (equivalent to €3000, more than I need for my stay), insurance coverage until May, a return flight ticket BEFORE my coverage date and a letter explaining I wanted to stay from January to May. I also paid for the “premium lounge” at the VSFS office and they said nothing about the documents I was submitting being wrong, only that they might not like that I was turning 36 a month after my application.
I also received a warning?? Which I don’t understand at all. I’ve been to France many times, always respected the rules, never used the medical system, and never been stuck anywhere without the means to leave. I’ve never even come close to overstaying regarding the Schengen visa rules… so I’m just spinning my wheels.
I would like to challenge the letter as this is my only shot at applying and it’s my dream to live in France for a year… does anyone have experience challenging a letter of refusal, or received the same message or can point me to maybe an immigration lawyer who can help me?
Thank you!
