je suis indépendante et je peux travailler à distance avec mon ordinateur. Je me demande donc si ce statut (je suis inscrite en Europe comme indépendante et paie mes charges ici) est compatible avec le visa touristique de 9 mois et le PVT ? Le visa touristique interdit le travail en Nouvelle-Zélande, mais je me demande si mon travail, officiellement réalisé en Europe, entre en ligne de compte...
Par ailleurs, je souhaite rester le plus longtemps possible en Nouvelle-Zélande : puis-je d'abord rester 9 mois avec le visa touristique et enchaîner avec un PVT de 12 mois, ce qui donnerait un séjour de 21 mois sur place ?

Je ne suis pas certaine qu'un visa de touriste t'autorise à travailler.
Dans leur manuel opérationnel (
Operational Manual - Immigration New Zealand. Issue Date: 19 February 2018.), ils donnent les conditions suivantes pour un visa de touriste :
visitors are considered to be coming to New Zealand for a lawful purpose if:
- they are coming for such purposes as:
- holidaying;
- sightseeing;
- family and social visits;
- amateur sport;
- business consultation (see V3.5);
- medical treatment (see V3.40); or
- guest of government visits (guest of government status is granted by the Visits and Ceremonial Office, Department of Internal Affairs).
- they are not intending to undertake employment (see W2.2.1) or a programme of study or training, with the exception of short-term study (see V2.35 and U2.5(b)).

W2.2.1 Definition of ‘work’
- Work means any activity undertaken for gain or reward, but does not include:

his definition does not require work as an 'employee'. It also covers self-employment.
W2.2.5 Definition of 'New Zealand' for work purposes
- A person is considered to be undertaking work in New Zealand if at any time they are working:
- on or in relation to any craft, artificial island, installation, or structure anywhere within the territorial sea of New Zealand; or
- on or in relation to any artificial island, installation, or structure anywhere within the exclusive economic zone of New Zealand or on or above the continental shelf of New Zealand; or
- on board any craft that is registered in New Zealand and is engaged in activities anywhere:
- within the New Zealand exclusive economic zone; or
- on or above the New Zealand continental shelf.
- A person is considered to be undertaking work in New Zealand whether or not a New Zealand or overseas resident is providing the payment or benefit for the activity.
Donc si tu présentes ta demande de visa en disant "je vais bosser comme travailleuse indépendante à distance", il est probable qu'ils refusent ta demande de visa touristique (par contre, aucun souci pour le working holiday visa).
En gros, d'après ce que les textes semblent dire, venir en Nouvelle-Zélande et y bosser (quelque soit le client) est assimilé à du travail.
