Hello. I’m a Canadian baseball player/coach. I just signed on with a French club and I have to leave in two weeks. I’m wondering what is the best way to go about getting a visa for the season (February-September). I qualify for the Youth Mobility/Working Holiday Visa - is that something I can get while I’m here (I’m in Newfoundland)? I was under the impression I could mail my forms to the embassy but that no longer seems to be the case. The closest VFS centre is in Montreal and obviously I cannot fly there and back and get a hotel just for an appointment. Is it possible to apply for the WHV after I arrive in France? I could do that in Germany when I played there last year.


Would it be better to go to the immigration office after I arrive in France and get something from them? I know there is a visa option for Sport professionals.

I already spoke to VFS and they couldn’t answer my question.
