Franck Sinatra a immortalise la ville qui ne dort jamais avec son “New York, New York“. Tony Bennett a celebre la ville de la Baie dans “I left My Heart in San Francisco“. Meme le “London Calling” de The Clash est devenu une des odes de la ville.


Et Toronto ? La ville se cherchait encore une chanson la celebrant. La mairie a donc lance un concours visant a designer l’hymne de la ville. Les artistes de tout style musical, mais etant nes a Toronto, etait invites a proposer leur declaration a T.O.


Vendredi, lors de la celebration des 175 ans de la ville de Toronto, le vainqueur a ete designe. Il s’agit de “Love to Live in Toronto“. Les auteurs, Georges Axon et Aidan Mason, ont voulu a travers cette chanson decrire comment ils ressentent le fait de vivre a Toronto. La chanson est une celebration de toutes les choses qui font de Toronto une ville exceptionnelle et ou il fait bon vivre.
