Je fais remonter le sujet : cet affreux personnage sévit toujours , nous étions 4 français chez lui entre septembre et décembre. Les conditions sont toujours les mêmes, si ce n'est pire puisqu'il a 2 ans de plus de pratique .. Il vient de remettre une annonce en ligne sur Craigslist, donc ATTENTION !

Chlo0 je suis tellemnt désolé pour toi et pour les 3 personnes qui ont subis ça.
Avec ma coloc de l'époque on avait essayer de le " blacklister" sur craigslist mais très difficile vu qu'il suffit de recréer un compte (si mes souvenirs sont bons).
Si tu es nouvelle arrivante, il faut faire circuler l'information au maximum si il sévit toujours, personnelemnt à l'époque on avait réussi à détourner quelques personnes de lui. C'est peu je pense mais c'est déjà pas mal.
J'espère pour toi ( pour vous ) que vous avez réussi à trouver un endroit plus cool, plus sain, bref un endroit où vous vous sentez chez vous.

The landlord at 1304 Ave Laurier Est, Montreal is still renting out "rooms" in his apartment. Do NOT move in there.

Pierre is very good at playing a nice guy when he shows you the apartment, but he is just manipulating you. Once you move in he will violate your privacy daily, constantly enter your room and move around your stuff, force you to obey long list of crazy rules, and literally shout in your face for minutes if you don't follow them. And don't think you can just move out - he forces you to pay a three month deposit once you sign, which he will refuse to pay back under any circumstance. Many people, myself included, have lost a lot of money to this guy.

Again:
Do NOT rent a room at 1304 Ave Laurier Est, Montreal. He will make your life miserable.

I hope one of you read this. I don't mention my name here to protect my privacy. I found these comments unfortunately after I signed a contract with this guy, I know you tried to protect me but I had no idea he is like this. I haven't moved in yet, I saw his behavior even before moving in. I paid him a lot of money and it is illegal to charge more than one rent. He also had an abusive behavior, and language, etc.

Long story short, I want to sue this guy. I want to take him to the court. I was wondering if any of you guys would help me by your testimonies. Please help me with that. Email me or just comment here, and I will message you my email address. It is good for you too, because if I win you guys can also sue him and get your money back.

Please help me stop this guy for good.

I found this post and all those comments too late as well, after I woke up this morning with the certitude that he sneaked into my room during the night, and finally googled the adress...

I fled right away, of course he wouldn't give any money back. I came back later and we had a talk with policemen. Even though they are not supposed to deal with this kind of civil litigation, they advised me to open a case at "Régie des logements", and they said it might be useful even without written contract.

So I am gonna do that, @FazeK I'm with you and hope we can prevent further scam.

J'ai moi aussi trouvé ce post trop tard, j'ai enfin penser à chercher l'adresse sur le net après m'être réveillée certaine qu'il s'était introduit dans la chambre dans la nuit.

J'ai pris la fuite tout de suite, bien sûr il ne voulait pas rendre d'argent. Je suis revenu plus tard et nous avons discuté avec des policiers. Bien qu'ils ne soient pas censés traiter ce genre de litige, ils m'ont conseillé d'ouvrir un dossier à la «Régie des logements», ils prennent même les cas sans contrat écrit car ici un accord verbal est légal.
