MymieEtJo,
Effectivement ton témoignage est rassurant

!
Thank you for contacting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) INFO Center.
CBP Officers must determine the nationality of each applicant and assess the admissibility of the traveler to ensure they can lawfully enter the United States under the requirements of the Immigration and Nationally Act.
With respect to a person’s admissibility, our officers make determinations based on an evaluation of the information they have at their disposal when a person seeks entry to the United States. The key issues for a CBP officer are whether an individual is a U.S. citizen or national of another country, and if a national of another country, whether an individual is admissible into the United States. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit the proper documentation upon entering and exiting the United States. Each applicant for admission is subject to complete inspection on each arrival in the United States. No one is allowed to enter the United States until he or she has satisfied the examining officer that he or she is either a citizen of the United States or an alien who has overcome all grounds of inadmissibility. In all cases, the applicant bears the burden of proof of admissibility.
If your intents are to fly to the U.S. on a one-way airline ticket; then you must have documentation how you are departing the U.S. In other words, if you are renting a vehicle then driving back; you will need to rental reservation showing a pick up and a drop off location ( The drop off location should be in Canada). If your friend is driving you back to Canada; then obtain an affidavit notarized from your friend attesting to this fact.
Thank you again for contacting the CBP INFO Center.
Sincerely,
CBP INFO Center
Je mettrai un message pour vous tenir au courant de "mon expérience".
