Hi,

I am applying for a second year of WHV in France as a Quebec resident and hoping to clear some doubts.

In terms of insurance:
Is any of the INSURTE annual plans an adequate insurance for a WHV for France? Do they cover all the requirements? I am not sure if it is good enough. This is the insurance that appears on the VFS Global dashboard as I log in... So it should be accepted?

Also, I received a letter from the RAMQ stating that I am not eligible for a septennal year again (since I benefitted last year)

The dates I declared for absence from Quebec are 1 July 2025 to July 1 2026. The dates of travel on my visa application will be Aug 1 2025 to Aug 1 2026.
Will the unmatching dates cause a problem? Is it safer to not submit the letter at all? I do not have the first letter of attestation from the first year.
My appointment is in 2 days and it is too late to request a new one with corrected dates.

I am not sure what to do.

Hi Romar. I cannot comment on INSURTE because I'm not familiar with it. French authorities require that your insurance covers at least 30,000 euros, medical and hospitalization expenses, and repatriation. I know that Globe WHV insurance is accepted; it's what I bought when I came to France.

As for your RAMQ question, you can bring it to your appointment and ask the agent for his or her advice. If needed, you will be allowed to send them the corrected form via email after the appointment.

    Hey Jackson,

    Thanks for your reply.

Following up on this subject, INUSRTE is the company that shows up on the VFS global website dashboard when logging in to your account. I used this company for my first year WHV.

I purchased INSURTE again for my second WHV and obviously included in my application the policy certificate that includes a QR code for validation of authenticity online and I also provided my purchase receipt. These are all the documents the company has sent me.

I received an email from the visa center that says the consulate is requesting me to provide an ATTESTATION of my travel insurance because a receipt is not valid proof of insurance.

I called INSURTE and they assured that the contract/ policy ceretificate is normally what is required for applications and that they aren't able to provide any other documents.

My visa got refused 2 times (as you can see from my previous threads) and this is my 3rd application in a row.
At this point, it feels like they are completely fucking with me for no reason.

The only thing the insurance company could offer is a policy certificate in French rather than English.
But I doubt that this would be the problem...

Here is the message from the consulate as well as a screenshot of my insurance policy.

    I can't afford another refusal.

    What should I do?
Should I change my insurance to Global WHV?

Hi Romar. Fortunately it's not a rejection, they just need more info. Above is the policy info from Globe WHV that I had provided when I applied. Maybe they're looking for this level of coverage detail.

    Ok.

As you can see, whether ¨detailed¨or not.. my policy contract from Insurte includes all this information

Since I want to avoid another refusal at all costs. Should I ask for a refund from INSURTE and change to Globe WHV?

This seems ridiculous tho, Since this is literally the insurance reccomended by VFS Global and it is what I used on my first year. There is no way they are not familiar with this company...

But if for some UNKOWN reason it is a safer bet to go with Global WHV I am willing to do it!

I'm not in a position to advise whether you should do it or not. But I suppose that if you do nothing, then your application really will be rejected.

Also note that though VFS recommends INSURTE, it's not VFS that processes applications. They forward all applications to the French consulate. So I'm not sure if INSURTE has any ties with the consulate or not.

    Thanks,

I have purchased a new plan with Globe WHV but I am holding off on sending the documents because i'm puzzling over the accuracy of the word ATTESTATION or whether the certificate they sent me is an ¨attestation¨or not...
