Globe WHV support thread for english speaking users

Hi Sandra,

I'm a Canadian citizen in the process of applying for a Working Holiday Visa (WHV) for France. I plan on staying in France for at least a year (starting Feb 2020), and require proof of medical insurance for my WHV application.

I was wondering if I purchased medical insurance through the Globe WHV /ACS insurance policy for 12 months- would I be able to cancel before the 12 month period has concluded (i.e. if I was able to get coverage through a job or my partner's job)?

Thanks for your message.

The only case you would be able to cancel the WHV/ACS policy, is a final return to Canada ( your country of origin).
In that case, you can ask for the reimbursment of the complete unused months.

Anyway, the Globe WHV insurance policy is more complete than the health insurance you may have through your job, as it includes repatriation , private civil liability and other guarantees.

A little note just to clarify things, and an additional information to be more complete :

Cependant, grace à mon statut jeune pro et la mutuelle de mon entreprise je serai couvert pour les frais médicaux, il me manque uniquement une couverture pour le rapatriement. Existe-t-il une assurance couvrant uniquement ce volet ?

Hi, my friend is applying for Globe WHV/IEC Canada for a France Working Holiday Visa. They have a diagnosed cerebral cavernous malformation (cavernoma). We understand this is a vascular/neurological condition listed in the medical statement and that treatment related to it would likely be excluded. We are not seeking coverage for the cavernoma itself. We simply want to confirm that declaring this condition will not void the policy, and that all other medical coverage (unrelated illness, accidents, hospitalization, repatriation, etc.) remains fully in effect. Can you confirm this? In the application there is a checkbox it says to confirm you don't have any medical conditions.
