    Bonjour,

Pour mon working holiday visa, j'ai fait ça : WORK AND TRAVEL ACTIVITY PLAN FOR THE WORKING HOLIDAY (H1) - August 28, 2025 to January 7, 2026

    • Stay in SEOUL – August to October 2025 (approx. 3 months)

Travel Plan in Seoul and nearby areas:

    • Discovery of the different neighborhoods and main landmarks of the capital: Insadong, Gangnam, Myeongdong, Itaewon, Hongdae, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung, Namsan Tower, Bukchon Hanok Village, the War Memorial of Korea…
    • Excursions around Seoul: Incheon, Suwon, DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), Panmunjeom, Icheon.
    • Possible trips to Gangwon-do: Sokcho, Seoraksan National Park, Gangneung.

    Activity Plan:

    • Take Korean language classes to improve communication and cultural understanding.
    • Begin Taekwondo lessons and explore Korean traditional culture.

    Work Plan:

    • I plan to work part-time during my stay in Seoul, approximately 15 to 20 hours per week for 2 to 3 months.
    • Possible sectors: cafés, restaurants, hotels, babysitting or customer service.
    • Job search platforms: Indeed Korea, Craigslist, Koreabridge.

    2. Stay in BUSAN – November to December 2025 (approx. 2 months)

Travel Plan in Busan and nearby regions:

    • Visit main attractions of Busan: Haeundae Beach, Gwangalli Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village, Jagalchi Market, Yonggungsa Temple, Igidae Park, Nampo-dong.
    • Short trips to surrounding areas: Gyeongju, Daegu, Tongyeong, Namhae, Jinju, Jirisan National Park, Gajisan Park.

    Work Plan (if necessary):

    • Depending on my financial needs, I may take up part-time work (approx. 15 to 20 hours/week) for 1 to 2 months.
    • Fields: similar to Seoul – cafés, hospitality, babysitting.
    • Job search via the same websites (Indeed, Craigslist, Koreabridge).

    3. Road trip around South Korea – Late December 2025 to Early January 2026

    Travel Plan (non-exhaustive):

    • Jeju Island (approx. 2 weeks): Explore Jeju City, Seogwipo, Hallasan National Park, Manjanggul Cave, Jeongbang Waterfall, and local beaches.
    • Jeolla Region (approx. 3 weeks): Visit Jeonju (traditional Hanok village), Gwangju, Suncheon, Boseong (green tea fields), Mokpo, Jirisan National Park.
    • Chungcheong Region (approx. 3 weeks): Explore Gongju, Buyeo, Daejeon, Songnisan National Park, Woraksan National Park, and Sobaeksan National Park.

    Activity Plan:

    • Hiking, nature exploration, cultural site visits, local markets, and participation in regional festivals if available

My name is Emma, I am 20 years old, and I am French. My interest in South Korea began in 2018 when I discovered K-pop, and since then, my curiosity for the country has continued to grow. I am particularly fascinated by its culture, history, artistic universe, and everyday life.
In August 2024, I had the opportunity to spend three weeks in South Korea, from August 5th to August 25th, with a tourist visa. During this trip, I mainly explored the key neighborhoods and tourist sites of Seoul, such as Itaewon, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam, Mapo-gu, and Dongdaemun. This journey was an unforgettable experience and inspired me to extend my stay to explore other regions and activities I could not discover during that visit.
    Planned Stay

I plan to settle in the Kondae area (Konkuk University area), which will serve as my base to fully experience daily life in Korea. During my stay, I intend to work part-time (up to 25 hours per week), depending on my financial needs, in sectors such as restaurants, cafés, or barmaid. These professional experiences will help cover my expenses while allowing enough free time to travel and explore the country.
I have already started analyzing job offers and contacting employers through platforms such as Koreabridge, Indeed Korea, and Craigslist, and I continue to research positions in Seoul and its surrounding areas.

    Travel Objectives and Exploration

    Seoul and Main Districts:

    • Itaewon, Gangnam, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Mapo-gu, Dongdaemun
    • Historical and cultural sites: Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Namsan Tower, War Memorial

    Excursions around Seoul:

    • DMZ, Gimpo, Incheon, Suwon, Icheon

    • Daejeon: KAIST campus, Gyeryongsan National Park, Daecheong Lake, Hanbat Arboretum, Daejeon Craft & Design Fair, DIAS
    • Chungju: Woraksan National Park, World Martial Arts Park, Jungangtap Historic Park, Chungju Lake, Goguryeo Stele
    • Jeonju: Hanok Village, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Traditional Culture Center, Deokjin Park, JIFF
    • Gwangju: Mudeungsan National Park, ACC, Cheongchun Cultural Village, National Museum
    • Mokpo: Yudal Mountain, Bridge & Observation Deck, Gatbawi Rock
    • Boseong: Green Tea Fields Daehan Dawon, Green Tea Museum, Camellia Hill
    • Damyang: Juknokwon, Metasequoia-lined Road, Soswaewon Garden
    • Suncheon: Suncheon Bay + National Garden, Naganeupseong Folk Village, Suncheon Drama Filming Sites, Araetjang Market
    • Yeosu: Odongdo Island, Hyangiram Hermitage, Yi Sun-sin Park, Aqua Planet, International Fireworks Competition
    • Daegu: 83 Tower, Apsan Park, Gyeongsang-gamyeong Park, E-world, Donghwasa Temple, Suseongmot Lake
    • Pohang: Y Observatory Igari Anchor, Hwanho Park Space Walk, Gonlyun Mount, Jukdo Market, Homigot, Jukdo Fish Market

I have been to Seoul twice, but each time it was too short to fully explore the city or other places in South Korea. I also truly fell in love with the country and its culture, so I’ve been taking online Korean classes for a year and a half. That’s why I decided to come to Korea on a working holiday visa, to stay longer and have the opportunity to discover the country more thoroughly. I also want to spend three months in a language school to immerse myself in the culture and improve my Korean, but only in the mornings so I can explore the city for the rest of the day.

7 months of stay in Seoul

    Main activities :

    • Visit of Seoul and his places of interest (Seoul Tower, Lotte World, Changdeokgung palace and his secret garden, National museum of Korea), go shopping, go hiking.
    • 3 months of taking classes of Korean on the morning to visit or to do some activities on the afternoon as visit of Seoul, taking Korean cooking classes or singing classes.
    • Visit cities around Seoul (Suwon, Incheon, Paju, Gapyeong, Demilitarized Zone and Gamaksan bridge).
    • Visit province of Gangwon-do : Gangneung, Pyeongchang, Seoraksan National park, Sokcho.
    • Work within the 6 months of stay in Seoul if I need it financially but not sure and in a part time job in coffee, hotel or restaurant (maximum 20 hours).

2 months of road trip across South Korea

I want to explore the different sides of South Korea, modern cities like Busan, Daegu, Incheon, cultural and historic sides with Gyeongju, or Jeonju, nature and coastlines with Jeju and Suncheon or go hiking to see landscapes and point of view or natural sites (in Daegu, Jeju Island or Chungcheongdo area…)

    • Busan : Haeundae and Gwangalli beaches, Jagalchi Fish Markek, Gamcheon Culture Village..
    • Gyeongju : Tumuli Park, Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju National Museum…
    • Jeonju : Hanok Village, Street-food alley, Temples…
    • Daegu and surroundings : Seomun Market, go hiking to the Mount Palgongsan, Donghwasa Temple…
    • Jeju Island : Seongsan Ilchulbong, Cheonjiyeon & Jeongbang Waterfalls, O’Sulloc Tea Museum, go hiking to Hallasan Mountain…
    • Suncheon and Boseong : Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve, Boseong Green Tea Fields, Traditional villages…
    • Chungcheongdo area : to visit national parks (Songnisan, Woraksan…)

2 months in Seoul and surroundings (or less if I leave earlier).

Back to Seoul to enjoy the city and his surroundings before leaving to France like the first months.

    Hello,

    1- Presentation

My name is Julia, I am 29 years old and I come from France. I would like to apply for a Working Holiday Visa in South Korea, with a planned arrival on June 10th, 2026. I plan to stay in South Korea for 12 months.

South Korea is a country that has deeply interested me for many years, especially because of the strong cultural differences compared to France. I am eager to discover a new history, different ways of living and working, as well as Korean cuisine, language and alphabet.

I am already very interested in Korean pop culture, particularly K-pop and K-dramas. As a big fan of make-up and skincare, I am also very excited to explore the world of K-beauty, which is renowned worldwide for its innovation and creativity.

I am already taking Korean lessons twice a week in order to acquire basic language skills before arriving in South Korea.

2- Place of principal residence : Seoul

I plan to arrive in South Korea on June 10th, 2026, at Incheon International Airport (Seoul).

Seoul will be my main place of residence. I wish to live in Seoul during my Working Holiday Visa, as it is the cultural, economic and social center of the country.
Historical and cultural sites : Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and its Secret Garden (Huwon), Deoksugung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and the National Museum of Korea.
Landmarks and neighborhoods : Namsan Tower, Bukhansan National Park, Gwangjang Market, Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Gangnam.
Activities : Noraebang, Game Centers, Lotte World, Jjimjilbang…

Cities close to Seoul : Incheon, Goyang, Suwon, and Yongin.

3- Different travel places in South Korea

During my stay in South Korea, I want to discover many different cities and regions in order to better understand the culture, traditions, and ways of living.
Busan (July, 1 month) : Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Jagalchi Fish Market, Gamcheon Culture Village, Haeundae and Gwangalli Beaches.
Jeju Island (August, 1–2 weeks) : Hallasan Mountain, Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak), Manjanggul Lava Tube, Jeongbang Waterfall, Udo Island (Day Trip).
Ulsan (August, 1–2 weeks) : Ulsan Grand Park, Taehwagang River Bamboo Forest, Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village, Daewangam Park & Daewangam Rock.
Daegu (August, 1 week) : Apsan Park & Observatory, Donghwasa Temple, Seomun Market, Daegu National Museum.
Andong (March, 1 week) : Andong Hahoe Folk Village, Andong Soju Museum, Andong Confucian Academies, Andong Mask Museum.
Wonju (March, 3-4 days) : Chiaksan National Park, Museum SAN, Wonju Hanji Theme Park, Guryongsa Temple, Sogeumsan Recreational Forest.

4- Work plan during Working Holiday Visa

During my stay in South Korea,I plan to work for a few months (September–February), to better immerse myself in Korean culture. I will arrive with sufficient personal savings, but I would like to gain experience in the local work environment.

I am especially interested in cafés, restaurants, or hotels, as these jobs will allow me to interact with locals and improve my language skills. I also have a diploma in pattern making and experience working on technical files; if opportunities in this field are available in South Korea, I would gladly take them.

    Hello,
