- 22/06/13, 14:04 #142Hey Annana,
I Enjoy that you're all alive finally
No, I didn't go there. I'm in Québec at the moment and don't know if they celebrate that event.
However, I'll perhaps go to the jazz festival event.
Well well well ! There is a dance that i don't know
I saw a video on youtube. Seem's like amazing sportive dance
- 22/06/13, 22:29 #143Hey !
To improve our english level together...quite good idea at all
I read any messages 'bout Capoera this afternoon, and i thought to you when i saw a capoera crew few hours ago, in my city, while I was drinking a cofee with friends.
I hadn't my camera at this moment, i wished to post any picture
Capoera setting aside (we already have a dancer ^^), do somebody dance ?
For my part, i dance Rock and Salsa, and i would love to learn Hip Hop =)

- 22/06/13, 23:03 #145I totaly agree when you say that you have to be strong, have a good rythm feeling, etc...
But for me when you move your body in rythm, based on a melody or a music: it's dancing, however it's good looking or not.
Sure, we all prefer see somebody burning the dancefloor as Chris Brown or M.Jackson than just moving his feets once left...once right...once left and snapping his fingers.
Don't hide you, i bet you ever met somebody as it, and laughted 'bout him/her with your friends
Actually, i agree with your point of view saying Capoera is a martial art and a sport.
Long time ago (in a galaxy...), Brasilian couldn't practise any violent sport if i remind well, and they found this way to imitate a fight, by dancing.Dernière modification par JokeNowis ; 23/06/13 à 02:48.
- 22/06/13, 23:15 #146You're right! They weren't allowed to make any injury to anyone. Therefore, they invented a fight style without touching your opponent.
It's not just about moving a feet left and a feet right: jumps, gymnastic... I prefer seeing capoiera than Chris Brown dancing . Capoeira may look like a break dance battle: you have to "impress" your opponent, you increase gradually.
- 22/06/13, 23:42 #147As it said in french: "gusts and colors..."
For me, seeing both of them is a pleasure, so i'm not difficult in what i like to watch in dances: Rock, Salsa, Hip Hop, Tango, Capoera, etc...exept classical ^^
(Even so, don't like Chris Brown's style...)
One more time, i agree...and disagree with it
The circle made by spectators (singing and playing music) is the same as a Break battle, as a fighting arena.
Yes, you have to impress your opponent, but you have to move according to him, you work with him with a certain notion of respect.
It placing between a couple dance and a single one.
You can dance Capoera lonely, but it reveals its true nature by dancing in "couple".
So for me:
. Dance and Martial Art
. Opponent and partners,
. Fight...and dance
No no, dog isn't biting his tail
Finaly, our points of view are going to the same point, just taking a different wayDernière modification par JokeNowis ; 23/06/13 à 02:50.
- 23/06/13, 01:25 #148Thank you !
I love it too.
Ho yeah ! That's very great ! I love Rock too but only ''pratice'' with friends for fun.
Love the hip hop too, I've got sister who learn it !
I thing salsa is great.
I wish learn dancing when my administrative situation will be sable.
Thanks for this historic explanation
I love that !
You have to ''impress'' your opponent and by the way, it permise to improve yourself.
I love watching dance battle. So amazing dancer and techniques to see !
In my point of view, I'm not difficult too about the dance to watch ou learn. I just love dancing.
But I'll probably less watch kind of dance like 'tektonic', or baile funk dance, ...
But I've no problem with classical dance.
I love traditional dance too.
God, I totally agree with you and I love this point of view.
So... when do we dance all of us ?
- 23/06/13, 01:51 #149Wow, so many quotes !!
So lucky she is !!
My ex girlfriend was a really good Hip Hop dancer and i always asked her to learn me...not just to do the show in clubs (ok...a little ) but most of all for me, when i'm single at home and unoccupated.
She didn't want to 'cause she thought she would be a bad teacher.
You ONLY THINK salsa is great ?
Salsa IS great !
It's one of the most sensual dances i know, but less than Bachatta.
D'you know it ?
Listen "Obsession" by Aventura, and "Te extraño" by Xtreme...wonderfull when you dance on it with a good partner, even if you don't know how to dance it so good
So...hurry up to watch "Sexy Dance" movies !! =D
Not expansive, and you can watch it as often as you want ^^
Baile funk dance ?
I've no problem with classical dances, i just don't like it as much..but if somebody pay me i can watch a ballet
I thought a little more at my martial art past than dance, but i found the parallel intersting
Next year, when we'll all be in Canada with our precious PVT ^^
Why not a little Flash Mob ?Dernière modification par JokeNowis ; 23/06/13 à 01:57.
